Amarseen Mikael

Dr. Amarseen Mikael is a Vascular and General Surgeon devoted to providing modern, evidence-based vascular care to the community. He treats the full breadth of arterial and venous disease, with particular expertise in complex aortic pathology, limb salvage, venous interventions, and minimally invasive endovascular treatments.

Raised in Turlock in California’s Central Valley, Dr. Mikael is deeply connected to the 209 community. His upbringing in an underserved region shaped his commitment to bringing advanced vascular care to areas that have historically lacked access to specialized services. He is fluent in Assyrian and speaks medical Spanish, allowing him to communicate clearly with a diverse patient population and build strong, trust-based relationships with the individuals and families he serves.

Dr. Mikael completed his General Surgery training at UC Riverside/Riverside Community Hospital, where he earned multiple top national exam scores. He went on to complete a Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Englewood Health/Hackensack Health, gaining extensive experience in both open and complex endovascular techniques. During his training, he was recognized for his compassion, leadership, and dedication to teaching, receiving the Gold Humanism Award for his impact on resident and medical student education.

An active contributor to the field, Dr. Mikael has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has presented his work at national meetings including the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, the Vascular Annual Meeting, and the International Aortic Summit. His research interests include complex aortic repair, limb preservation strategies, venous disease, dialysis access revision, and innovative approaches to vascular surgical education.
